Grand Opening Of My Etsy Shop

Alhamdulilah! I am happy, proud, excited, thrilled, delighted…..well you get the idea….to announce the grand opening of my etsy shop .

When I started blogging almost 2 years ago, it was to share with the world my love for interior decorating. I wanted to show that interior decorating is fun and that anyone can create a beautiful , and inviting home. Here are a few examples of posts I have written about home decorating basics…

Sometime down the road, I realized that I also ought to share my own inspiration behind my eclectic style of decorating. So, as a Muslim Arab American I decided to focus my blog on the Arabic, and Islamic style of design . Here are a few posts I have written about Islamic & Arabic interior design…

After publishing the reveal of my mudroom makeover, I received several inquires about my stencil of “Alhamdulilah” (Thank God) above the washer and dryer. That interest in Islamic calligraphy stencils led me to buy a stencil cutter and create stencils for my own arts and crafts projects.

Many of you asked if I sell Islamic calligraphy stencils , or where I buy mine from. I felt that Allah is opening a door for me that I was not paying attention to. But under the guidance of my brother-in-law, who is the founder and managing director of Trimark; an intellectual property consulting company, I decided to take a chance and step through that door.

Etsy offers a simple platform for both of us to correspond in business. I designed my shop, wrote my policies, listed my products, and launched my business. This is what it is all about…

Calligraphy, the art of writing, is the most admired form of art in the Muslim world. A skilled calligrapher is able to manipulate the Arabic script into an astonishing form of art that can be seen adorning walls, furniture, ceramics, textiles, and glass.

My Islamic calligraphy stencils & decals will enable you to replicate that art.

They are cut from a low-tack adhesive backed vinyl sheets. They can be used on any smooth surface such as walls, doors, wood, ceramics, glass, mirrors, and canvas. The decals come in 9 basic colors; black, brown, blue, baby blue, pink, hot pink, red, green, and beige. The stencils (single use) allow you to customize your calligraphy with your choice of paint or etching cream.

Please note that some of my Islamic calligraphy quotes can be turned into reusable stencils. If that is possible, it will be included in the listing description.

In celebration of the grand opening of my Etsy shop, I am offering a FREE 4 x 6″ Ramadan Kareem decal with any purchase. Promotion ends at midnight eastern time on July 26, 2013.

I will be adding new quotes regularly so keep checking my shop. If you are looking for a specific quote or size, contact me. Inshallah I will be able to help with that.

Thank you for being here, for your support, and for your confidence in my talent.

Please spread the word!

P.S. I will be taking a short break from blogging so I can concentrate on my new shop {and my family}. Inshallah I will be back after Eid (around Aug.12) with new craft projects, home design projects, interior design tips, and inspirations. I will stay in touch with you all through my Facebook page, so if you have not “liked’ me yet, please do so now!
